Soccer Superstar

Saturday afternoon was a great day for the Pans. The weather was beautiful and Elliott had a stellar day on the soccer field.

The fun began Saturday afternoon with practice at Marymoor park. It was packed. It seemed like every kid on the eastside had arrived for their first game. After jerseys were handed out, all the kids lined up (2nd – 4th grade) for drills, plenty of running, and ample water breaks.

Following practice, the kids were all shuffled around in various positions and the game officially began. Elliott started out playing defender near the goalie. Of course my boy was blocking the ball and staying on top of the action. After a short time, Elliott was out for a break and then brought back in to the game in forward position. I think Elliott had found his rhythm at this point and was aggressively seeking to either pass (as his coach kept yelling) or shoot the ball up the field. In the end, their team lost (0-2), but all in all, we were so proud of his attitude and abilities. He was awesome!

Cooper also behaved so well and cheered on his big brother from the sidelines. It was an excellent day!
