After school starts, there’s always a sense that any warm day is a special treat. Since yesterday evening was warm, we did just that and played at the park one last time.
Elliott found some school buddies and played the night away. When his head was wet with sweat, we knew he’d had a great time. Cooper also took his first whirl on a few park toys. He’s beginning to really enjoy the swing – - pushed gently of course. The best activity of the evening was playing catch with the soccer ball. His giggles continued on and on until it was about time to go.
To end the evening right, we decided a stop at the ice cream parlor would be in order. Cooper even sampled my Strawberry Blonde treat (Strawberry ice cream, graham cracker crust bits, carmel, whip cream, strawberries). Apparently he loves ice cream and is not allergic to strawberries – whoo hoo! Elliott ate his lickety split and shared mine of course. Finally, Henry made the sensible choice of a pineapple coconut smoothie – yum.
A great end to a wonderful summer evening.
