We had been thinking about getting a new cat – and Elliott caught on to the idea and was very excited about the prospect. A few weeks ago, we saw some kittens that were really cute, and one really liked Elliott – but it was just a bad time for us to take one home. This weekend, the Humane Society’s adoption truck was at the Issaquah Pet Smart, and we stopped by to take a look. Initially, we were interested in kittens, but this 9 month old became our favorite instead. She’s quite well mannered, and just loves to follow Elliott around. They’ve become best buddies already. Problem is – we don’t really have a name for her yet. Any suggestions?

I would let Elliott choose the name–then he gets his naming fix, and you guys can have reign over the new little one’s naming process. (Not that you don’t already, but I’m sure Elliott would enjoy getting to make a decision all his own!)
Whatever the name is, it has to start with an “M.” Did you notice her markings on her forehead? Totally looks like an “M.”
Just don’t name her Melinda. I don’t think that would be nice.
